As a leader in the field of energy, water and waste management, we recognise our environmental obligations both locally and internationally. EP&T strives towards environmental best practice in all our business operations and is committed to implementing the requirements of all relevant international, Commonwealth and State environmental legislation and regulations.

As a responsible business we have procedures in place to minimise risk in every one of our operations – from ensuring the safety and quality of our products to the safety of employees, customers and contractors in our workplace. By operating safely we reduce any potential risk our business may present to the environment.

We are aware of our responsibility to raise awareness of environmental issues and promote environmental sustainability to our staff, clients and the general public. In order to achieve this goal we are striving to become an example of corporate environmental best practice in our own operations and are helping our clients to do so also.

In order to improve our environmental performance we have carried out an initial environmental review and set the following objectives and targets:

Objective 1 - Reduce the amount of greenhouse gases resulting from EP&T’s operations
Target 1 - Achieve a 4 star NABERS Energy rating for our Sydney office (excluding green power) in FY10
Target 2 - Purchase 100% of electricity from renewable energy for our Australian operations in FY10, resulting in a 5star NABERS Energy rating.
Target 3 -  Purchase and surrender energy efficiency credits to offset emissions from direct electricity purchase for EP&T's global operations in FY10.

Objective 2 - Reduce the environmental impact from EP&T Global's manufacturing
Target 4 - Manufacture all EP&T Global products to 2002/95/EC (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standards by 1 November 2009.
